Tigers by the tail

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

CARDINIA Shire Mayor Leticia Wilmot was spotted shaking a Tigers jersey at Toomuc Recreation Reserve earlier this week in anticipation of Richmond Football Club’s upcoming arrival.
The Tigers will return to the shire for their third consecutive public training session from 4pm on Friday 23 January, ahead of the Australia Day long weekend.
“It will be fantastic to be able to welcome the Richmond Football Club into Cardinia Shire again. I encourage everyone to come down to the ground, with friends and family, to support the players and take part in the footy clinic and other free activities,” she said.
As well as taking part in the player-led footy clinic, fans will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Tigers during an autograph session.
