TEN Year 12 students from across the Cardinia Shire were given awards for outstanding performances in the field of legal studies last month. The Duffy and Simon Law Awards offered 10 schools the chance to present a student with a law award to recognise academic merit, hard work or extra co-curricular contribution in Legal Studies or a related area. The program is growing as seven students from seven schools were acknowledged last year. Prizes were handed out to students in December by senior partner Don Duffy to (from left) Joshua Mettes of St Francis Xavier College, Kristina Skipina from Beaconhills College, Chelsea King of Berwick College, Luca Kostic from Haileybury College, Jai Carmichael of Hillcrest Christian College, Pakenham Secondary College’s Courtney Kriis, Rhiannon Bethune of Kooweerup Secondary College, and Jessica Ferdinands of St Margaret’s College.
