NARRE Warren police is leading an investigation into a car fire on the South Gippsland Highway in Kooweerup.
The fire started around 1.20am on Saturday 28 November after which someone had driven the car into scrub near the riverbank.
Police believe it was deliberately set alight and when they arrived on scene they found the car completely engulfed in flames.
The vehicle, which had no number plates, was totally destroyed and CFA attended.
Police have requested anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
