HILLCREST Christian College was the scene of fine dining and smelt of freshly baked goods last week with the opening of two brand new buildings.
A high tea accompanied the official opening of the school’s new food technology centre and senior administration building last Thursday 16 October.
Senior school students welcomed an array of guests to their campus including MP Jason Wood as well as past students and teachers.
Students and other members of the school community were thrilled to be part of the opening of the new buildings, and executive principal Dr Daniel Pampuch said these sorts of events were great for students to be involved in.
“The impact of such developments, programs and opportunities is seen in the positive impact on student learning,” he said.
“Students are more engaged and are developing a broader range of skills and aptitudes than ever before. The results and destination of students who pass through the Senior School are growing yearly and are impressive.”
Guests walked away with a box of truffles made by Year 10 students to thank them for celebrating the event.
