Cardinia captivates the Guv

By BEN CAMERON

VICTORIAN Governor Alex Chernov and his wife Elizabeth were given a tour of the region by Cardinia Shire mayor Graeme Moore last Thursday, taking in various places of interest including the award winning D’Angelo Estate Winery, Officer Specialist School and the new Pakenham racecourse. “The impression I got was that he felt right at home and comfortable in our surroundings, which was great to see. He was interested in our population growth, funding for development and infrastructure needs,” Cr Moore said. “I gained the impression he was particularly impressed with Henry Family Children’s Centre. Taking the Governor to the Casey Cardinia Business Awards was also a highlight and a great way to finish the day.” 128385 Picture: STEWART CHAMBERS
