THE second annual Unplugged acoustic music event is returning to Casey – this time with an X factor.
After huge success with the 2013 event, City of Casey’s FReeZA committee, Spectrum Entertainment, has organised another action-packed night of music for the community to enjoy on Friday 19 September.
Local artists Jaymie Deboucherville from Clyde and Rachael Thompson from Endeavour Hills, who were both finalists on this year’s X Factor series, are headlining the event.
Other local performers to take to the stage include Bluecouch, Brooke and Ashleigh, Puppet Federation ft. Tristian, along with Melbourne-based indie band Cat or Pillar.
City of Casey Mayor Geoff Ablett encouraged people to head along for a great night out to celebrate local artists.
“FReeZA is a Victorian Government program which encourages young people to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, smoke and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people,” he said.
“Come along to the new Narre Warren Youth Information Centre to enjoy this live acoustic music event where there’ll also be a sausage sizzle, free slushies and a photo booth, along with lots of games and prizes to be won.”
Unplugged is an all ages, fully supervised event that is drug, alcohol and smoke free.
No pass outs will be available.
The event will be held on Friday 19 September from 5.30pm to 10.30pm at Narre Warren Youth Information Centre, Webb Street, Narre Warren.
Tickets will cost $5.
