Vegetative vengeance

I read with tears in my eyes the article about Ben Thompson (Life Long Blow, Cranbourne News 28 August).
Beautiful young lives are being lost, not only to death, but in many cases to a living death.
Enough accidents happen without the fist of a hyped-up coward.
Only last week an innocent 15-year-old has been reduced to an in-between state – alive, but dead.
A few years ago I lost a relative to a one punch coward.
When will this obscene behaviour stop?
I hear these criminals will now receive a jail term if caught.
I believe that after they have served this incarceration, they should be made to be a full-time, unpaid carer of the vegetable they have made out of a human being.
After all, the victim is incarcerated for the rest of their life.
Think about that you punch happy fools.
Chrissie Klerks,
Cranbourne North.
