A BRING your Bills day at the Pakenham Library proved helpful for local residents on Tuesday.
A group of professionals helped Cardinia Shire residents with those unenviable tasks this week and helped them clear up bills, debts and other financial issues.
The event was hosted by the Cardinia Shire’s Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Network which consists of around 30 service providers and community-based organisations.
Operations manager from local organisation the 4Cs Abiola Ajetomobi acknowledged the groups which turned out to help. She also mentioned the various people who came through the door with inquiries and questions.
The CALD Network identified that one of the issues facing many of their clientele is financial stress and the network has designed programs and activities to help address this.
The Bring your Bills day was a free event and played host to people from an array of organisations such as Centrelink, the Telecommunication Ombudsman, the Energy and Water Ombudsman Victoria and many more.
