Raid snubbed out

THE quick actions of a staff member at Free Choice Tobacco in Pakenham foiled two youngsters who attempted to raid the shop on Friday 9 May.
Two young men entered the tobacconist with what appeared to be a hand gun sometime before noon.
The offenders looked to be teenagers and both wore baseball caps and had their faces covered.
One produced what looked to be a handgun and demanded cash from the staff.
One staff member quickly responded and said they were on the phone to call police, after which both boys fled on foot empty-handed.
Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
