The Pakenham Warriors Big V basketball team embarked on their ‘northern swing’ road trip on the weekend with showdowns against the Shepparton Gators and North East Bushrangers in the state’s north.
Ryan Rogers’ men split the two contests over the weekend – edged narrowly by the Division 2 title favourite Gators on Saturday, before cruising to a double-digit win over the Bushrangers in Wodonga on Sunday.
News sport reporter Russell Bennett followed the Warriors on their trip, covering their games and what goes on behind the scenes with an elite basketball team on the road.
