Disco girl wins iPad

ALISHA Jones got more than a fun night out with friends at the Cranbourne Blue Light Disco recently when she won an iPad Mini.
A regular at the popular disco, Alisha was the chosen winner selected from young people who had registered on the new Blue Light website www.bluelight.org.au.
Victorian Blue Light State Council chief executive Ivan Ray visited the monthly disco last month to present Alisha with her prize.
“Alisha, together with over 250 kids from the Casey area once again danced the night away to all the latest hits and to a few unforgettable classics.
“I was very impressed with the running of the Cranbourne Blue Light.
“It was professionally run and he was delighted to see so many kids having a great time in a safe environment which is the principle of Blue Light.
“Blue Light delivers positive policing with the ultimate aim being crime prevention in our local communities.”
Cranbourne Blue Light Disco is run for children who are in grade four to eight.
It is run at the Cranbourne Public Hall and entry is $8.
The next disco will be held on 21 June.
The discos are drug and alcohol free events that are supervised by local police and qualified volunteers.
Anyone who would like to volunteer can Cranbourne Blue Light president Andrew Poulter by emailing poultera@hotmail.com or calling 0425 868 710.
