Crop of comedy

Rod Gregory is the funniest retired farmer working as a stand-up comedian in Australia.
Based at Maitland, South Australia, although new to the game, Gregory has performed hundreds of gigs all over Australia.
Rod admits he was worried he would go nuts with nothing to do when he retired so he re-invented himself and can’t believe his have-a-go attitude has delivered a very hectic and rewarding hobby as a well-known stand-up comedian.
Through his genuine personality and good old Aussie sense of humour, Gregory has connected to audiences of all ages, gender and beliefs Australia wide.
Rod ‘The Old Fella’ loves to perform in regional, remote, outer urban communities, as well as the big city with support acts ‘Chez’ Alan Cherry, singing a fabulous repertoire of favourite songs, and ventriloquist Darcy Elliott.
Elliott can entertain people of all ages with his array of puppet personalities.
He has held the attention of up to 60 pre-schoolers who are fascinated with what the puppets do and say!
By including audience participation he soon has a new puppet performing which creates fun and laughter.
Presented by Pakenham Golf Club on Sunday 27 April at 4pm, Rod Gregory and Darcy Elliott are on at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, Lakeside Boulevard, Pakenham.
Tickets are adults $45 and senior/concession $37.
Ticket purchases at www.cardiniaculturalcentre.com.au or on 1300 887 624.
