FAMILY violence can be reduced if we tackle the prime underlying cause – excessive alcohol advertising.
Reducing the amount of advertising of alcohol is in the government’s hands.
The nation’s preventative health watchdog (ANPHA) is to be commended on its approach at a federal level, arguing that advertising of alcohol on TV etc should be restricted before 8.30pm.
