Tips to starting a business

THOSE looking to start a business in Casey can get a helping hand at a workshop in Berwick next month.
The Starting Your Business workshop, supported by the Coalition Government, will be held at the Timbarra Community Centre in Berwick at 5.30pm on Wednesday 5 March.
Gembrook MP Brad Battin encouraged people to head along for some relevant advice.
“Starting a small business is an exciting time, but it can be assisted by the best possible advice,” he said.
“I believe this workshop is a great initiative by the Victorian Coalition Government, and I would urge anyone thinking of starting a small business to attend.”
Last year, more than 4000 businesses throughout the state participated in Small Business Victoria’s workshops and seminars. The program provides businesses and prospective business owners with the facts and advice needed to make informed decisions and create a platform for ongoing success.
Popular topics in the program include starting up, financial management, employing people and marketing.
All workshops and seminars are delivered by private sector business specialists who are well-qualified and experienced in small business.
