Very interesting

Regarding councillor Wayne Smith JP’s letter to the editor in last week’s edition of the News (Registering interest).
You are correct, I have not accessed the travel doucuments from council.
But what you are not correct about is that I have not viewed the travel documents.
Councillor Smith JP, why would I fabricate a story about your travel over the years?
Our rates go up by 7.5 per cent and all councillors get $5000 a year to go on study tours and you wonder why we challenge you, and you are off to Tamworth in February.
I know it is a tough gig being a councillor and having people like me criticise you, but you are dealing with ratepayers’ money.
On a lighter note, I love the JP at the end of your name.
Rex Flannery,
Narre Warren South.
