Bikers rally for toy convoy

By BRIDGET COOK

START your engines and get revved up for the 30th annual Ulysses Club Toy Run from Cranbourne next week.
The event, which aims to collect items for underprivileged families this Christmas, will leave from the Centro Cranbourne Shopping Centre car park, off High street, on Sunday 8 December.
Organiser Barbara Maggs urged motorcyclists to buy non-perishable food items or toys and take part in the run.
“Everyone is invited to join,” she said.
“Tell your friends so we can get as many involved in the toy run as possible.
“It’s all for a good cause.”
Riders are encouraged to gather in Cranbourne at 9am for a 9.30am start.
The group will have a police escort and meet with the MRA Toy Run at Calder Park.
There will be a number of prizes handed out including the rider who has travelled the longest distance to be involved, best club attendance and best dressed bike.
To find out more call Ms Maggs on 5998 2424.
