A CRANBOURNE residence was recognised for its exceptional care last week.
Last Thursday, Lifeview Willow Wood Cranbourne received an award which recognised better practice for companies who excel in aged care and continue to improve in this quality for its residents.
The award was presented to Lifeview Residential Care in Cranbourne where both staff and residents were present.
Resident June Nichols accepted the award on behalf of her retirement village that was presented by chairman of the Aged Care Accreditation and Standards Agency and former Victorian Premier, Andrew Refshauge.
The development and continuation of an annual initiative achieved the residence this award.
Each year, Willow Wood Cranbourne holds a positive ageing ceremony (PAC) which involves both residents and their loved ones.
The PAC event ’embraces the diversity of residents’ interests’ and also involves sponsorship and showcasing, which brings the event to a very high standard.
Local groups and volunteers are also engaged in the event to make it a community-based day which provides enjoyment for all.
