Gardeners bowled over

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

TEA and coffee flowed freely at the Narre Warren Bowls Club as members were given a ‘virtual tour’ of the new Australia Garden in Cranbourne.
Garden Ambassadors from the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, where the garden is situated, kicked off last week’s morning tea with a presentation of the garden,
The 15-hectare Australia Garden, officially opened in 2012, provides an inspiring and immersive display of Australian flora, landscapes, art and architecture.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan, who also attended the event, said the garden is a real wonder.
“Now that it’s fully open, it’s a great attraction for local residents in Casey to visit. It’s a really inspiring place,” he said.
