A SPATE of thefts from cars around Berwick has kept police officers busy lately.
A majority of these thefts have occurred in and around residential areas of Berwick where the criminals have gained entry to unlocked cars or forced entry into locked cars by smashing windows.
They have then stolen personal property including lap top computers, coins, wallets and purses.
Most of these offences have occurred in the early hours of the morning to cars parked outside their houses.
Police are urging everyone to ensure their vehicles are locked properly and no valuable items are left in cars.
Police have also asked that anyone who sees someone acting suspiciously in and around the residential streets of Berwick to phone triple zero.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
