Simpler super service online

SMALL business owners can take advantage of a free service to make superannuation requirements simpler.
Small business owners are being encouraged to register for the Federal Government’s Small Business Superannuation Clearing House, which could save up to an hour of paperwork per week.
La Trobe MP the service aims to take the pressure off small business owners in relation to superannuation.
“Around the country, the Clearing House has distributed over $1 billion in superannuation payments on behalf of small businesses, simplifying business arrangements,” she said.
“In Victoria $214 million has been distributed by the Clearing House for small businesses statewide.”
The Clearing House provides employees with peace of mind that their superannuation contributions are being handled with care.
“Small business owners can register for the service online in around five minutes,” Ms Smyth said.
“Once small business owners have registered and entered the details of their employees, making superannuation contributions for their employees takes just minutes, not hours.”
More information about the service, including an informative webcast and application information, is available at humanservices.gov.au/smallbusinesssuper.
Business owners can also call 1300 660 048.
