STOLEN property valued at more than $200,000 was uncovered at two properties in Cranbourne and Drouin, earlier this month.
On Friday 21 June, members for Casey TOMCAT and CIU executed search warrants for the two properties.
A large number of stolen goods were uncovered as a result of the raid.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Freeman said they didn’t expect to discover as much as what they did.
“We were actually looking for suspects,” he said.
“We certainly found more than what we thought.”
Some of the stolen property which was found included: a bobcat, one forklift, two jetskis, one truck, two other vehicles, one go kart, two stolen motorbikes, a large amount of power tools and a big amount of amphetamine.
A 22-year-old man from Berwick was arrested and charged, as was a 41-year-old man from Hastings.
Both men appeared before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where the Berwick man was charged and remanded and released on bail.
The Hastings man was further remanded to the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court, where he will appear on 9 July.
Three other people are assisting police with their inquiries, including a 22-year-old man and 23-year-old man from Cranbourne East, and a 27-year-old from McLaren Vale in South Australia.
