Last chance for business awards

LOCAL businesses have one last chance to submit their application for the fourth annual Casey Business Awards.
With applications closing tomorrow, Friday 7 June, Casey mayor Amanda Stapledon has urged all businesses to consider applying.
“There is an award category perfect for every size and type of business, from a professional service, to a local tradesman, to a business run from home,” she said.
“The awards showcase the great achievements of businesses in our own backyard and are a great opportunity to promote your business while developing relationships with other local businesses, government and industry bodies.
“The application process is simple, convenient and doesn’t take long to complete.
“Council understands the current daily strain placed on local business owners and so has made applying for the Casey Business Awards simple by placing the relevant forms on Council’s website.”
The Casey Business Award categories are Agriculture and Primary Industries, Business and Professional Services, Health, Education and Wellbeing, Home-based Business, Hospitality and Tourism, Manufacturer, New Business, Retailer, Social Enterprise and Trades and Construction.
There are also additional Judge’s Awards up for grabs including Environmental Sustainability Award, Innovation Award and Commendation Award.
All entrants will also go in the running for the major award of the night – Casey Business of the Year.
Casey Business Awards finalists will be announced at a cocktail function on Wednesday 21 August.
For full details on the awards categories or to download an application form visit www.casey.vic.gov.au/businessawards.
