Morning tea in the village

By DANIELLE GALVIN

THERE will be an array of events and fun things to do at the Cardinia Waters Village morning tea for the Cancer Council next week.
Resident Renee Taylor is organising the morning tea on Thursday 30 May at 10am until 3.30pm.
It is the third year she has run an event for the Cancer Council and said it was a growing village and it was important that the village supported the great work of the organisation.
A beautifully handmade quilt put together by the Stitch and Giggle group at the village will be raffled off on the day, including a host of other items donated by local businesses.
There will also be a fashion parade featuring clothing from Millers and Pakman Menswear.
“We also run another raffle wholly on donations from people in the village, as we do lunch as well,” Ms Taylor said.
“There is also a choir and singers from the village that put on a show, line dancing, it’s all a bit of fun.
“Last year we had 180, this year we are looking at 250 people coming along.”
