Students interests factored in

STUDENTS’ interests are taken into account when lesson plans are made at Hillsmeade Primary School.
The primary school has taken a personal approach to teaching and learning, and is inviting parents to learn more about their approach at an information night next week.
Staff at the schools said students participated in a range of learning centres based on their current interests as well as regular daily explicit training. In Prep to Grade 2, students are given the opportunity to choose between hands-on learning experiences that will build on and consolidate their learning, and in Grades 3 to 6, students are given the opportunity to complete projects based on topics of interest.
Current and future parents are encouraged to attend an information night on Hillsmeade Primary School’s personalised approach which will be held on Wednesday 8 May at 7pm in the school library. The school is located on The Promenade, Narre Warren South.
