Woman seriously injured in assault

A WOMAN suffered a broken pelvis and two broken ribs after she was assaulted in Hallam last week.
Police said the 67-year-old Hallam woman was walking her dog through parkland near Tripoli Court on Wednesday 17 April when she was approached from behind by an unknown man about 5.15pm.
The man then pushed the woman to the ground, allegedly yelling “cop that” before running away.
The woman suffered a broken pelvis and two broken ribs and was taken to a private hospital in Dandenong for treatment.
The man is described as being Caucasian with a tanned complexion, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, medium build and about 177cm tall.
Police believe the man was bald with brown hair on the back of his neck. He was wearing a navy blue jumper and blue pants at the time of the incident.
