FIRE trucks raced to the scene of a gas leak last Thursday afternoon as police closed Cardinia Road near the entrance to the Lakeside estate.
Police had closed off Shearwater Drive and the entrance to Cardinia Road from the Princes Highway from 12.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
The road was reopened by the early afternoon and the gas leak contained.
