Now it’s Tiger town

STAR Tiger Chris Newman drop-punted in Pakenham on Wednesday to promote an open training session in town later this month.
Chris joined local members at Toomuc Valley Reserve to give footy lovers a taste of the event on Friday 25 January.
The entire squad including Chris and other Richmond stars like Trent Cotchin, Jack Riewoldt, Brett Deledio and Ivan Maric will attend the session.
Tigers CEO Brendon Gale said Richmond recognised it has a large fan and member base in the Cardinia region, and staging the training session was a way for the club to show its appreciation.
“The players are looking forward to meeting some of the club’s members and supporters in Pakenham and the wider Cardinia area,” Mr Gale said..
“The club understands how exciting it is for more regional communities to have an AFL Club in town, so we’re very happy to be able to able to make this visit possible.”
A range of activities, including a kids’ clinic, will also be part of the Tigers’ visit.
The kids’ football clinic will commence at 2.30pm, with Richmond players training from 4pm.
Fans will have the opportunity to have photos and autographs with players after the training session.
