Top characters descend on town

DISNEY princesses and Spiderman will be among the attractions at the Pakenham Show next year, as well as the giant pumpkin and vegetable competition with more than $1500 up for grabs.
Superman and Jasmine will visit the show from 10am to 2pm, and Spiderman and Rapunzel will be popping in from 11am until 3pm.
Dora, Batman and Cinderella will be there from 11.30am to 3.30pm and Ben 1 and Alice will be wandering around, talking to the kids at the show from noon until 4pm.
Tribute shows include Hannah Montanna, Micky’s Disco Party plus a meet and greet, a Spiderman show, reptile shows as well as Punch and Judy shows.
The Victorian Giant Pumpkin and Vegetable competition will be held at the show of March 2013.Pumpkins to be delivered to the show grounds on the 15 March, entry is $1.
A total of $1000 is up for grabs – plus extra prizes and money for mystery weight, ugliest, prettiest, calved pumpkin, and giant vegetable so organisers say it worthwhile for growers to enter their pumpkins.
President Geoff Young said the committee had pulled out all stops to deliver a fun-filled program for the whole family.
