CENTRELINK in Pakenham is moving to a new location.
The Pakenham Service Centre will move to a new purpose-built location to offer improved access to Centrelink services for the Cardinia community.
Centrelink services will move from 17 John Street to the new building at 25 Treloar Lane, located only 100m down the road, opening on Monday 15 October.
Minister for Human Services Senator Kim Carr and Victorian Senator David Feeney, said the new building would provide better access to services for people in Pakenham.
“Pakenham is a rapidly growing community, so it was time to move to a location that would meet our customer’s needs,” Mr Carr said.
Mr Feeney said the Cardinia community would benefit from the bigger site with more service options.
“The new building is larger and will have an open layout, with more service desks and space for customers and staff,” he said.
“It will also have more self-service facilities, which give people the flexibility to use online services and phone services to conduct their Centrelink and Medicare business.
“It’s a great location – there is parking available out the front and at nearby shopping complex and we’re close to public transport options.”
The new Pakenham Service Centre at 25 Treloar Lane will open 8.30 am – 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
