A LIFE journey of a Narre Warren woman who has helped refugees in several countries overseas is published in a fascinating tell-all book.
Gloria Hardy, 72, has written about her experiences helping refugees in Iraq, Uganda, Indonesia and the Philippines over two decades.
The Master’s Touch is Ms Hardy’s first book, and it took her two years to write.
“I have written an extensive diary about my time, and a lot of people said I should put it in a book,” Ms Hardy said.
“It took me 20 years to get around to it, and two years to write.” Memoirs Fountain Publishers said Gloria’s story would “warm the hearts of all who read it as she tells her story of helping to make thousands of mud bricks in the extreme desert heat, caring for malnourished and dying babies, teaching Muslim doctors to swim in order to rehabilitate landmine victims, the fun of running kids’ clubs in outlying villages and the miracle of improving the plight of prisoners at t he Mahata Prison.”
Ms Hardy said her book had a “Christian flavour”.
The Master’s Touch is available at Berwick Church of Christ, 446, Centre Road or Cityedge, corner of Cranbourne North Road and Princes Highway, Narre Warren.
