A CAR with stolen number plates led police on a pursuit through Hampton Park early Tuesday morning.
A spokesperson for Victoria Police said about 1.30am on 14 February, police tried to intercept a car which had stolen plates on Hallam Road near Cairns Road.
The car ran into a tree then hit the police car causing minor damage.
The car was then dumped in Westminster Court and the occupants fled on foot.
Police, canine units and the Victoria Police air wing searched for the people involved, but did not find them.
