Nuptial knot after love at first sight

By Lia Bichel
A NARRE Warren couple will tie the knot a week after Valentine’s Day, almost two years to the day after they met at a house party.
Marie Lazer said she “wanted to tell everyone” about her nuptials to fiancé Steve Quinn.
Ms Lazer met the love of her life on 20 February 2010, and it was “love at first sight.”
“When we left the house party, the host said she would see us at our wedding,” Ms Lazer said.
“But I didn’t know if I would ever see him again. The next day, he was on my doorstep.”
Three months later, after they went to watch their footy team at the Collingwood Football Grounds, Mr Quinn told her he wanted to marry her. On her 50th birthday, in front of family and friends, Mr Quinn officially proposed.
The two lovebirds planned to marry on 20 February to mark their second anniversary, but because it falls on a Monday, they will marry on 18 February in front of 120 guests at Sandown Regency.
