TALENTED residents were soaking up the limelight on centre stage during Casey’s Got Talent on the weekend.
The Mayoral charity concert was held on 5 November at the River Gum Performing Arts Centre, Hampton Park, and raised over $3000 for Southern Cross Kids Camp to assist young people in need.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said the event showcased local talent as well as raised money for a great cause.
“Southern Cross does an outstanding job in the community, hosting camps for children who are victims of abuse, domestic violence or neglect, and I am proud to support such a worthwhile cause,” Cr Balmes said.
“The two-hour concert featured singers, dancers, instrumentalists and bands of all ages. The energy and enthusiasm of all the performers were contagious, and impressive to say the least.
“Congratulations to all participants, and the audience members who dug deep to support such a worthy cause.”
