Round Two: Devon Meadows (5/215) started the weekend off well with a comfortable victory over Lyndhurst Vikings (63) on Saturday. Batting first, Steve Robinson (50) and Jason Holman (49) both batted solidly, and the icing on the cake was Daniel Street’s 40 not out.
In reply, Devon Meadows had Lyndhurst Vikings reeling at 9/28 before resistance by the tail saw the visitors get some respectability on the scoreboard. The experienced Peter Zauner (5/11) was his usual miserly self with Lucas Carroll (2/9) and Michael Floyd (2/33) both chipping in with wickets.
Round Three: Jason Holman (70) and Daniel Street (49 not out) led the way against SFX Old Collegians as Devon Meadows racked up 5/200 in its 40 overs. Bill Loudon (3/24) and Michael Floyd (2/25) then restricted the opposition to 7/139 to give the team two victories for the weekend.

Round Two: Chasing Devon Meadows 5/215cc, Lyndhurst Vikings (63) were never in the hunt with the only highlight being a last-wicket partnership of 35 between Heath Straughair (20) and Chris Slater (10).
Round Three: Despite going down to Nar Nar Goon/ Maryknoll (6/235cc), the Lyndhurst Vikings (7/207) put up a much better showing than Saturday’s disaster. David Greensmith and Mark Henry both took 2/42 against some aggressive batting.
In reply, Adam Baumgardner (51 not out), Greensmith (42) and Henry (33) showed resilience – and that the Vikings won’t be easy push overs for the rest of the season.

Round Two: Playing SFX Old Collegians (165) on Saturday, Merinda Park (4/166) handled a difficult chase with great maturity, winning the game with one over to spare. Jamie Smith (2/20), Shannon Mathers (2/30) and Adam Newstead (2/46) kept the target at a respectable level before the batsmen took over.
Glen Ward (71) held the innings together while Chris Smith (50) started a great weekend with the bat with a solid half-century.
Round Three: Merinda Park (2/84) steamrolled an undermanned Catani (82) to make it three wins from three matches to start the season. Brendan Fairlam (5/15) and Jess Mathers (4/13) made it an easy Sunday for the batsmen as they routed a disappointing opposition.Chris Smith (28) and Daniel McCalman (25 not out) got some valuable early season batting practice as Merinda Park cruised home with plenty of overs to spare.

@BT Sub Sport News:CLYDE
Round Two: Clyde’s bowling attack run amok on the weekend and it all started with a demolition of Gembrook (78) on Saturday that led the team to victory. Nick Miles (4/11), Noel O’Brien (2/2), Joel Avard (2/13) and Dean Williams (2/17) did all the damage.
David Denton (41 not out) and Gavin Adams (20) cruised home for the team’s first win of the year.
Round Three: Despite the bowlers doing the damage early again, it was a tougher day at the office for Clyde (7/108), which had to overcome a determined Upper Beaconsfield (101). It looked like a repeat of Saturday’s action as Dean Williams (4/18), Nick Miles (2/25) and Kane Avard (2/26) pulled the rug from the Upper Beacy batsmen but things weren’t so easy with the bat this time.
Clyde slumped to 4/26 before Noel O’Brien (30) and Glen Tuckwell (28) steadied the ship and put their team on top of the ladder for the first time this season.
@BT Sub Sport News:CRANBOURNE MEADOWS
Round Two: Cranbourne Meadows (9/119) couldn’t chase down Upper Beaconsfield’s (6/145) in Saturday’s round two action.
Adrian Savage (2/30) was the only bowler to have multiple success but the 145 still looked well within the team’s grasp at the half way break. Brothers Brent (39) and Lee Murdoch (25) both tried hard but the Meadows fell 26 runs short of their target.
Round Three: In Sunday’s round three game against Lang Lang the Cranny Meadows registered their first win of the season with Lee Murdoch (23 not out) leading the way. No further scores were available.
