Fobbed off

HOW well do our MPs represent us, the constituents?
This is my experience. On Wednesday, 14 September, I called La Trobe MP Laura Smyth requesting an appointment, only to be told that the person who makes the appointments only works on Tuesdays and Fridays.
I phoned back on Friday, he had left for the day. I am unavailable the following Tuesday so I call again on the Friday.
The response was he would email Laura in Canberra and let me know. Nothing happened, complete silence.
Next time I call I am told he is with a constituent and can I call back. How many times have I called?
How’s that for being fobbed off?
On 4 October, I made another request to be told I would be contacted. I am still waiting!
My concern is the costs of the carbon tax on farmers.
We are the endangered species in the seat of La Trobe. It would seem the Member for La Trobe neither knows nor cares.
