PAKENHAM Angling Club’s Dennis Jacobs and Darcy Rees caught two of the heaviest fish in the South Gippsland region during 2010/11.
The pair collected trophies for their efforts at the recent annual general meeting of the South Gippsland Angling Club.
Jacobs caught the heaviest elephant fish, which weighed 4.088 kilograms, and the heaviest rainbow trout, which hit the scales at 2.165 kilograms. Rees received his trophy for the heaviest trout in the junior section. It weighed a grand 947 grams.
