BUSINESSPEOPLE from across the City of Casey gathered at Kilgerron Homestead last week to network and celebrate the Narre Warren Chamber of Commerce’s new name.
The group re-launched as the Narre Warren Region Business Group to reflect the diversity of businesses in the area and the wider reach of the group.
“The name represents a more diverse geographical area rather than just Webb Street traders, which we used to represent,” Narre Warren Region Business Group President Ross Neilson said.
“As a result, we won’t be focused on running events but more about mentoring and networking.”
Mr Neilson said there were many people from different businesses across Casey who attended the event to network and learn more about the group.
Members of the Narre Warren CFA attended and spoke about their fund-raising efforts, their new building and the volunteers.
City of Casey councillor Sam Aziz also spoke at the networking evening and said the City of Casey were big supporters of the organisation.
“We wish you the best as you embark on further growth,” Cr Aziz said.
“Growth is a big part of what this city is and we need to have people working where they live.”
Mr Neilson said Narre Warren Region Business Group held monthly networking events, and invited residents to attend.
The Narre Warren Region Business Group will soon launch its revamped website.
