POLICE are investigating a number of burglaries committed in Casey last month.
Three burglaries were reported in Narre Warren, Berwick and Cranbourne.
A Coachwood Crescent house in Narre Warren was burgled while its owner was on holiday between 1 December and 8 December.
Thieves rifled through drawers and stole items including two watches, a ring, other jewellery and accessories, several handbags and sunglasses, valued at $27,000.
There was no forced entry and police say the thieves may have got into the house through an unlocked sliding door.
Gardening and fishing equipment was stolen from a Cranbourne shed between midday on 4 December and 3.45pm on 5 December last year.
Thieves forced open the door to the shed and stole a lawnmower, chainsaw, grass trimmer, blower and fishing reels.
In Bridgwater Boulevard, Berwick, thieves forced open a garage door from the backyard and stole entertainment equipment between 7.30pm and 10.45pm on 28 December.
A Panasonic video camera, Sony television, HP computer and Panasonic blu-ray DVD player were among the items stolen.
The thieves possibly parked a car in the garage during the burglary.
