A YOUNG Endeavour Hills woman was trapped in a car last week after colliding into a concrete power pole.
The woman, 22, was driving a Holden Commodore sedan on the South Gippsland Highway near the Dandenong Lunar DriveIn when she crashed at about 4am on 3 November.
The woman, a Pplater, was trapped for 40 minutes while the Dandenong Rescue crew and Hallam Pumper attempted to free her from the car.
Police said heavy rain and lightning hampered the last stages of the rescue call.
The woman, who was flown to hospital via air ambulance, is in a serious condition.
