Wheel turns full circle

PAST Inner Wheel international president Anne McGill has become the 2007-08 Inner Wheel Club of Narre Warren president.
Anne has enjoyed wide experience at Inner Wheel and is national coordinator for the Inner Wheel Australia cord blood appeal that has raised more than $1million for cord blood research.
Anne said on her induction during the club’s 26th changeover luncheon in the Fountain Gate Hotel on Sunday 8 July that she was just as passionate about IW as ever.
She said she had been an IW member for 26 years.
“Inner Wheel is a stepping stone to many roads if you wish to take them.
“The road of friendship, the opportunity to work for the community locally and overseas, the chance to climb the ladder of office and learn to take responsibility.
“In doing so you grow within yourself.
“We get the chance to travel around Australia and worldwide.
“Many opportunities are there for the taking and in one way or another club members have encouraged me to do so.
“This has been a most enjoyable journey and I thank you.
“But ultimately we all return to the fold, to our own club, to the heart of our organisation.
“To be president of the Inner Wheel Club of Narre Warren for the second time is a huge honour,” she said.
