Wet but very willing

STAFF at the Casey Arc ended up with wet feet last week when they helped collect litter around the Narre Warren centre.
Last Tuesday the YMCA staff helped clean up nearby Patrick Northeast Reserve in the lead up to annual Clean Up Australia Day activities on Sunday. Community liaison officer for the Casey cluster YMCA Marni Williams was the site organiser on the day and said 12 people took part in the clean up.
“We cleaned up the usual fast food packaging and cigarette butts but we also found some interesting objects, like a few dead birds and a shopping trolley that two of the helpers pulled out of the lake.
“As you can see we had a great day with two of the ladies ending up with wet feet as they tried their hardest to reach all of the rubbish in the lake.”
