PREPS Daniel and Denis are ready for action as the only twins at James Cook Primary School.
The boys started their first day at school on Tuesday brimming with excitement, according to principal Kathy Sharp.
The five-year-old boys were following in the footsteps of their older siblings who also attended the Endeavour Hills school.
“Generally when one child comes to the school the whole family seems to follow,” she said.
Ms Sharp said emotions ran high for some of the 42 Preps’ parents at the school.
The Preps will be at school from 9am to 2pm until the end of February when they become full-time students.
The Prep students will also be assessed by teachers on their reading, writing and mathematics skills to enable an individual program to be developed for each child.
