Tinks Road gets lights upgrade

A NARRE Warren intersection is set for upgraded traffic signals in a bid to improve safety.
State Government funding of $32,000 willbe used to upgrade traffic signals to incorporate a right-turn arrow to the light sequence at the intersection of the Monash Freeway and Tinks Road, Narre Warren.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan said the upgrade aimed to reduce the incidence and severity of intersection collisions. There have been four casualty crashes at the intersection in the past five years, including two resulting in serious injury.

“The introduction of the right-turn signal at this intersection will enhance the flow of traffic and improve safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians in the area,” he said.
