A TRUCK driver had a day to forget last Friday when he lost a load of timber after his vehicle rolled in Hallam.
Police said the driver was travelling along Wedgewood Drive in the Hallam Industrial Estate about 1pm when the packs of timber shifted as he rounded a bend.
Workers from nearby factories came to the aid of the truck driver and provided first-aid while other workers attempted to stop a diesel fuel spill from entering a drain.
Dandenong CFA attended the scene and rescued the driver who was initially trapped in the cabin.
The driver suffered minor injuries in the incident and was taken to Dandenong Hospital.
Casey Traffic Management Unit is continuing with their investigations into the incident.
