POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward after an automatic teller machine in Doveton was damaged last Saturday.
The Commonwealth Bank ATM was smashed and broken at Autumn Place Shopping Centre when a thief tried to remove money from the cash dispenser.
Police said the incident occurred between 12.30pm and 2pm and caused $4000 worth of damage, although no money was taken.
