STUDENTS from Chalcot Lodge Primary School in Endeavour Hills showed their highlevel science skills when they participated in the recent Australasian School Science Competition.
Of the 20 students who participated, two students were awarded distinctions and seven students were awarded credits.
The skills assessed in the science competition included observing and measuring, interpreting and evaluating data, drawing conclusions and inferences, making predictions, experimental design, reasoning and problem solving.
This competition is developed by the University of New South Wales and is conducted annually across Australia and in 12 other countries.
It provides an independent assessment of the skills that students need in education, the wider community and the workplace for the future.
