Seniors outstanding

CASEY residents are urged to nominate outstanding members of the community for the 2007 Premier’s Award for Victorian Senior of the Year.
The award recognises Victorians aged over 60 whose outstanding voluntary work has provided significant benefits to their community.
Mayor Colin Butler said Casey’s senior residents made an excellent contribution to the community in areas such as the arts, social welfare, education and health.
“This award also promotes the achievements of senior Victorians to the broader community and demonstrates the benefits of positive ageing,” he said.
Each person nominated for the Premier’s Award for Victorian Senior of the Year will also be considered for the seniors Go For Your Life award and the Council on the Ageing Victoria Senior Achiever Awards.
Nomination forms can be obtained by visiting the Office of Senior Victorians website at www.seniors.vic.gov.au.

Nominations close 17 August.
