CRANBOURNE RSL Bowling Club split its RVBA pennant matches on the final Saturday before the Christmas break.
The RSL won three rinks and 16 points in division-three to consolidate top spot on the ladder.
Scores: Cranbourne RSL 113 d Sandringham 71. Mal Watkinson’s team 42/10, Peter Somers’ team 28/20, Greg Dore’s team 20/22, Ryan Drummond’s team 23/19.
Coaches’ award: Andy Sheppard (three votes), Bob Preston (two), Gary Bright (one).
Unavailability plagued the RSL in its division-five clash with Dandenong City and it ultimately succumbed by 42 shots. Scores: Dandenong City 110 d Cranbourne RSL 68.
Coaches’ award: Sandra Bright (three), Len Clarke (two), Jack Pott (one). The RSL ladies hosted Keysborough in VLBA action and after 100 ends only two shots was the difference as the hosts fought gallantly to bridge the gap.
