CITY of Casey councillors have asked for a copy of an independent audit of the city’s maternal and child health service.
Deputy mayor Kevin Bradford demanded the council release a copy of the document to all councillors this week.
He said the audit, conducted by a consultant appointed by the Department of Human Services (DHS), was finished on 30 June.
However, Casey director of community services Jennie Lee said she was yet to receive the report and could therefore not release it.
“We have a briefing on this on Tuesday and I want this report so I can read it over the weekend,” Cr Bradford said.
He said councillors needed the report to prepare questions for DHS representatives at Tuesday’s briefing.
The council resolved to have the document sent out to all councillors as soon as Ms Lee received it.
