Push is on for the great pram stroll

WILSON Botanic Park in Berwick will be the scene of hundreds of prams during a family fun day with a difference later this month.
Casey’s Greatest Pram Stroll has been organised as a chance for mothers, babies and families to take part in a fun event with face painting, a colouring competition, live music, show bags, information stalls, sausage sizzle, special guest stars Lady Uppity Crust and the YMCA Frog.
The day has been planned by the City of Casey in partnership with the Mothers of Casey Alliance and YMCA.
Casey manager of community care and health promotion Sophia Petrov said the free event was part of the various World’s Greatest Pram Stroll activities being held across Victoria to celebrate motherhood, socialising and getting active.
“This event has been running in Melbourne for the past five years, and this will be the third year that Casey has participated with its own local event,” Ms Petrov said.
“With Casey’s large population of young children and babies, we hope that as many mums and families take part and help make this event the best yet.”
The event includes children’s entertainment and a group walk around the stunning park.
Walkers are encouraged to bring lunch as barbecue and picnic facilities are available.
The Friends of Wilson Botanic Park will also hold a sausage sizzle on the day.
Grab your walking gear, stroller and the family and take part in this fun event from 10am on Sunday, 28 October at Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick.
